The Subway Story:
Back in 1965, Fred Deluca, with dreams of paying for medical school, opened the first Subway in Bridgeport, CT. His sandwiches were such a hit that, by 1974, he had 16 of them and the first dreams of franchising! The rest, as they say, is history.
Today, Subway has more than 68,000 locations around the world. Their fresh, healthy, delicious food appeals to millions, and there's just no sign of them slowing down.
